Turtle Venture Studio Networking Hours Unites Investors and Innovators in Singapore

Turtle Venture Studio hosted its very first ever Networking Hours in the heart of Singapore. The event gathered over 55+ influential personnels, including Limited Partners (LPs), angel investors, visionary founders, and key ecosystem builders. This intimate yet dynamic gathering ignited powerful conversations, collaborations, and showcased the exciting wave of innovation emerging from South and Southeast Asia. 

The event started with the welcome from Anowar Sayef and Saraban Tahura, following the sharing of the Turtle Venture Studios vision and thesis. In the event, Anowar Sayef presented the compelling vision aimed at revolutionizing early-stage investing in frontier markets along their approach of de-risking the investments. 

Turtle Venture Studio’s dual-entity approach, a combination of an agile venture studio alongside a $5.25 million evergreen fund. This innovative structure is specifically designed to mitigate risks inherent in early-stage investments while actively nurturing startups into scalable, market-ready companies. By blending hands-on venture building with strategic capital deployment, TVS aims to achieve healthy exits valued between $1 million to $5 million within a 3- to 5-year timeframe, ensuring sustainable growth for all stakeholders. 

Current Portfolio Highlights:  
During the event, Turtle Venture Studio proudly showcased standout ventures from its growing portfolio that exemplify its mission to back transformative founders addressing critical, underserved market challenges with scalable, technology-driven solutions. The founders themselves shared their experience during the Turtle Venture’s Cohort 1 and their achievements afterwards. The portfolios were: 

  • Chhaya: Bangladesh’s pioneering fully digital micro-insurance platform, offering inclusive coverage across health, life, motor, and enterprise sectors. Chhaya is revolutionizing insurance accessibility for millions who have traditionally been excluded from such financial protection. 
     
  • DrutoLoan: A fintech platform innovating access to capital for MSMEs in Bangladesh by providing fast, unsecured loans powered by alternative data analytics and a customer-first service model. DrutoLoan is catalyzing financial inclusion by reducing barriers for small businesses eager to grow. 
     

Future Pipeline: A Glimpse into What’s Next 
Attendees received an exclusive preview of promising startups being considered for the upcoming Turtle Venture Studio Pipeline, each addressing pressing challenges with innovative solutions. The ideas were presented by the founders themselves, Tawhida Shiropa (Founder & CEO of Moner Bondhu), Mahade Hasan (Founder and CEO of FundinFolks) and Mehedi Hasan (Co-founder of Fly0 Limited). A short idea of each strideful business was put forth. 

  • Moner Bondhu: Bangladesh’s foremost mental health platform, delivering accessible B2B and B2C services through a hybrid model that combines expert care with cutting-edge technology, aimed at bridging critical gaps in mental healthcare access. 
  • FundinFolks: An AI-driven fundraising engine designed to streamline investor outreach, campaign management, and data-driven capital matching, simplifying the fundraising journey for startups and investors alike. 
  • Fly0: A travel-fintech solution offering Shariah-compliant, zero-interest installment plans tailored for Umrah pilgrims, medical travelers, and migrants, supported by an AI-powered credit engine designed to serve underserved markets with integrity and innovation.
